Harvey Norman Commercial Project Division is a leading supplier of sanitary ware and appliances to the Victorian building, plumbing and development sectors. We are rapidly expanding in the Victorian market and are looking for a skilled Purchasing Officer to join the busy team located in Laverton North. Our offer is unique to the market as we can provide a full product solution for our core customer’s needs; Architects, Builders, Designers, Developers and Plumbers.

Responsibilities:

  • Purchase stock from a variety of suppliers to meet deadlines and maintain stock levels
  • Organise stock call-ups in line with customer project schedules
  • Ensure best possible pricing is obtained using various resources
  • Review backorders and follow up delivery times with suppliers daily
  • Keep relevant departments informed of back orders and due dates
  • Answer internal and external queries regarding purchase to assist our end customer
  • Assist and respond to any purchasing discrepancies
  • Liaise with suppliers & maintain relationships
  • Provide full support to Sales teams & account managers
  • Provide feedback to management, maintain accurate purchasing records.
  • Participate in stocktake twice yearly
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time to fulfil your role
