JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Purchasing Officer will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to help support all areas of the Purchasing function; this position is office based at our site in Dunfermline. This is a full-time role based on 40 hrs, Monday to Friday and is subject to completion of a satisfactory 3-month probation period.
This is a great opportunity for someone either experienced in purchasing or someone with administration experience looking to specialise in this growing field.

Responsibilities
  • Review system reports to generate stock figures for purchase orders. Understanding component lead times, stock and sales patterns to maintain product availability, monitoring inventory levels to replenish product before it runs out.
  • Generate purchase order and monitor throughout the supply chain process until goods arrive in our warehouse.
  • Working with the supply base to manage and resolve supply/stock issues, ensure products are delivered on time, any shortages or delays are communicated to all relevant parties.
  • Build, develop and maintain positive relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Support supply Chain Manager with ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
  • Maintenance and update of internal systems, excel spreadsheets and trackers.
  • Handle incoming calls and emails.
  • Attend weekly meeting providing business update on any supply chain issues.
