Description

Job Summary: The Purchasing & Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the logistics of merchandise for our company. This position is responsible for evaluating product options, negotiating supplier terms, overseeing inventory and shipments, and assisting with administrative tasks. Working closely with the company President, this role combines strategic purchasing responsibilities with administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of product acquisition and inventory management.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in purchasing, logistics, or inventory management considered an asset.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., MS Office) and purchasing/inventory management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a dynamic work environment.
  • Familiarity with logistics coordination and cost management practices considered an asset.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Product Sourcing & Evaluation: Research and assess potential products, vendors, and trends to make informed purchasing decisions that align with the company’s goals.
  • Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery terms with suppliers to secure the best terms and optimize cost efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and work with inventory control to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained to meet demand.
  • Data Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze sales data to anticipate purchasing needs, adjusting buying strategies based on data trends and sales performance.
  • Market Insight: Conduct store visits to evaluate product performance and gather insights into customer preferences.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities and adjust product offerings to maintain a competitive market position.
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee logistics, including cost management, quotes, and scheduling for shipments. Organize logistics pickups and deliveries to maintain efficient and timely inventory flow.
  • Purchase Order Management: Create and manage purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely acquisition of inventory.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other documentation as required by the executive team.
  • Expense Management & Record-Keeping: Perform administrative tasks such as managing expenses, maintaining organized records, and filing relevant documents.
  • Executive Assistance: Provide support to the company President in administrative and executive tasks, helping streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
