Principle Purpose of Job The Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the resort. You will help with the day-to-day logistics of all packages, deliveries and orders for the ranch and are responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing shipments efficiently and accurately while maintaining organization and inventory control and ensuring all departments receive items in a timely manner. You will support the Purchasing, Shipping, and Receiving Manager in maintaining our restaurant and catering liquor, beer, wine, food, and supplies while fulfilling daily requisitions for each of these departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Handle daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, and timely execution of inbound and outbound packages. Sort, compile, and deliver daily requisitions for the food and beverage department ensuring outlets have what they need daily. Build relationships with our vendors. Support in the inspection of all incoming shipments for damage before signing off on delivery. Verify and inspect all food items, including produce, meat, seafood, dairy, frozen goods, and dry storage items, ensuring all items are in quality shape and that goods match description on delivery. Receive and log all alcoholic beverages in the liquor storeroom, verifying deliveries against invoices. Work closely with the Shipping and Receiving Manager to ensure the processing of invoices in a timely manner. Store all items in the correct locations, including dry storage, freezers, and coolers. Maintain well organized storage rooms of the centralized food and beverage items – including paper products, food, liquor, beer, wine, and chemicals. Maintain proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to ensure product freshness. Record and report any damaged or missing items to Shipping and Receiving Manager, ensuring proper documentation for vendor credits. Support completion of monthly inventory counts of the Shipping and Receiving Department. Deliver products and goods to various non-F&B departments as needed. Secure all shipping and receiving inventory items under lock and key. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or 1+ years of previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred. Experience in food & beverage establishments is a plus. Familiarity with handling equipment such as dollies, hand carts, and pallet jacks. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must pass MVR. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Central shipping/receiving software knowledge preferred. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong multitasking and organizational skills. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including holidays as needed. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Compensation Description: $20-$25 /hr - Competitive pay commensurate with education and/or experience. Benefits and Perks: 152 hours of Paid Time Off if FT, Year-Round employment status.
