JOB DESCRIPTION:

We’re looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join our dedicated team! In this role, you’ll manage the ordering, invoicing, and inventory of all production supplies, products, and services for our Distribution Centres. You’ll also represent Distribution Services, collaborating with other divisions on continuous improvement projects. Responsibilities
  • Creates purchase orders for all Distribution Services
  • Analyzes merchandise production compared to supplies usage to ensure forward trends are defined by the requirements, avoiding stock shortages.
  • Responsible for reviewing production supplies reorder points and minimum, maximum inventory requirements by item monthly and providing recommendations for changes
  • Accountable for creating and communicating reports on the analysis of supply usage on a quarterly basis to senior management
  • Monitors, via the Lawson system, and facilitates inventory reporting including out of stock items.
  • Partner with DC operations, ensure a smooth procurement process which improves the effectiveness of the flow of supplies and provide recommendations as required.
  • Collaborates with DC operations to explore opportunities for new supplies, reviewing agreements and setting up new items.
  • Performs analysis and provides reporting on potential item obsolescence by reviewing usage vs on hand inventory.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
