We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist/Analyst to oversee purchasing activities for our concrete block manufacturing operation and masonry supply retail store. This position is responsible for sourcing and purchasing a wide range of products including raw materials, production supplies, store inventory, equipment, office supplies, and maintenance items. The ideal candidate will balance inventory levels, vendor relationships, pricing negotiations, and timely purchasing to support both manufacturing operations and retail sales. Key Responsibilities Purchase raw materials and production supplies for concrete brick and block manufacturing Maintain inventory levels for masonry store products and retail merchandise Order office supplies, maintenance items, tools, and operational materials Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers Obtain pricing, negotiate costs, and compare supplier options Monitor inventory usage and anticipate purchasing needs Coordinate deliveries and resolve shipping or supply issues Track purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation Resolve receiving discrepancies and invoicing issues Work closely with production, sales, warehouse, and accounting teams Assist with inventory counts and inventory management processes Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and voluntary long-term disability insurance 401K with Company match Paid time off and holidays Stable, long-term employment opportunity Requirements Qualifications Previous purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain experience required (5+ years) Manufacturing, construction materials, building supply, or industrial experience strongly preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proficient with computer systems, spreadsheets, and inventory software Attention to detail and problem-solving ability Knowledge of masonry, concrete products, or construction materials is a plus Preferred Traits Self-motivated and dependable Strong negotiation skills Comfortable working in both office and operational environments Able to build positive vendor and team relationships
