Job Title: Purchasing Specialist Job Description We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support procurement operations by sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery to meet production needs. Responsibilities Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with suppliers. Source materials and manage purchase orders to support production schedules. Monitor inventory levels and analyze purchasing needs. Track and resolve delayed shipments with vendors. Collaborate with logistics to ensure timely material flow. Review requisitions for accuracy and approvals. Prepare reports on market trends, costs, and supplier performance. Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Essential Skills Expertise in purchasing and procurement processes. Proficiency in managing purchase orders and inventory. Strong negotiation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience in vendor management. Ability to effectively enter and manage data. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. 2+ years of purchasing/procurement experience. Strong decision-making skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication skills across internal teams and vendors. Experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector is a plus. Work Environment This role operates within a manufacturing/office setting, requiring occasional movement around a warehouse.
