Department:
You will be part of the procurement support team (GBC) in Service business line.
Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled professional to join our Global Purchasing team as a Purchasing specialist. They will be responsible to
RFQ, getting offer, selection of right supplier, Price negotiation, release of purchase order within budget & delivery process by monitoring, coordinating with supplier for delivery in accordance with the PO / Contract to enable that FLSmidth can keep the delivery to end clients as agreed.

Your responsibilities

  • Purchase parts/items of expertise area at the right quality & volume.
  • RFQ, getting offer from suppliers within specified timeline
  • Select supplier according to PSP
  • Review bid evaluation and negotiation
  • Review / release of purchase order and ensure the receipt of order acknowledgment
  • Cost tracking & savings
  • Work with category for new supplier development
  • Optimize inventory levels based on customer demand and forecast
  • Work closely with vendors for critical/shutdown deliveries and realize the purchase orders are delivered on time
  • Analyze manufacturing schedule / progress report from suppliers and monitor progress and maintain report on biweekly basis
  • Coordinate with quality team for inspection test plan
  • Interfacing with internal stake holder & vendor for various documentations like Inspection report, Packing list, and shipment documents
  • Ensure Supply in Full On-Time (SIFOT) & Support DIFOT.
  • Maintain and provide feedback on supplier performance to Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM)
  • Ensure of supplier payment by collaborating with finance

What you bring

  • Understanding of technical specification & drawings in purchase orders.
  • Knowledge of data integration and understanding of ERP.
  • Techno-commercial knowledge.
  • Bought out equipment knowledge would be an added advantage.

Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Engineering degree from a reputed University, specializing in Mechanical will be preferred.
Experience
7-10 years’ experience in a Purchasing /Procurement.
