Description We’re looking for an experienced Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for purchasing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring on-time delivery of materials and services to keep production running smoothly. If you have purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment and enjoy working with suppliers, production teams, and estimating, we encourage you to apply. What You’ll Do Issue and manage purchase orders for materials, components, and outside services Source and evaluate suppliers to support cost, quality, and delivery goals Monitor open orders and expedite materials to keep production on schedule Work closely with Estimating, Engineering, Scheduling, and Production teams Support quoting by gathering supplier pricing and lead times Track vendor performance including on-time delivery and quality metrics Coordinate supplier corrective actions and resolve pricing or invoice issues Maintain purchasing records, certifications, and ERP system data Requirements What We’re Looking For 5+ years of purchasing or buyer experience in manufacturing Experience purchasing raw materials, machining services, fabrication, or production supplies Strong understanding of supply chain, supplier management, and inventory planning Ability to read technical drawings and material specifications Experience with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS preferred) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Preferred Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field Experience in precision machining, metal fabrication, or contract manufacturing Join a team where your purchasing expertise helps keep production running smoothly and supports the growth of our manufacturing operations.
