JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist with a strong background in U.S. domestic procurement, ideally in the furniture or manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will manage all purchasing operations across domestic suppliers, drive sourcing strategies, and ensure seamless collaboration with our China-based procurement and production teams. This role is essential for optimizing cost, quality, and delivery across our U.S. supply base.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual in Mandarin is the must.
  • 1+ years of experience in U.S. domestic procurement, preferably in furniture, consumer products, or light manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated connections with U.S. vendors/suppliers and an understanding of regional manufacturing capabilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with overseas (China-based) teams on international sourcing and coordination.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and strong Excel/data analysis skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, cost control, and vendor management abilities.
  • Strong communication and project management skills across cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead procurement and sourcing operations for U.S.-based suppliers across key categories (wood, metal, plastics, hardware, packaging, etc.).
  • Build and maintain relationships with established and emerging U.S. vendors and manufacturers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, and payment terms to ensure cost efficiency and supplier accountability.
  • Work closely with the China sourcing and operations team to align U.S. supply chain activities with international production needs.
  • Support new product launches by sourcing materials/components that meet design, cost, and quality specifications.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance (quality, delivery, responsiveness), and implement improvements as needed.
  • Forecast material needs and manage inventory purchasing to balance demand, cash flow, and production schedules.
  • Improve and document procurement workflows to ensure scalability, compliance, and operational visibility.
  • Stay informed on U.S. manufacturing trends, supply chain risks, and market dynamics to support proactive sourcing decisions.
