Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join our team in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing process, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and services for our organization.

  • Lead and supervise the purchasing team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with organizational goals
  • Analyze market trends, conduct supplier evaluations, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to secure the best possible deals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast purchasing needs and adjust procurement strategies accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures for all purchased materials
  • Manage inventory levels and optimize stock to minimize costs and prevent shortages
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of all purchases, contracts, and vendor information
  • Stay informed about industry innovations and recommend process improvements
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts related to purchasing activities
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Proven track record in managing vendor relationships and negotiating favorable contracts
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to secure competitive pricing and terms
  • Proficiency in cost analysis, budget management, and financial planning
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory control and optimization techniques
  • Thorough understanding of compliance requirements and industry standards in procurement
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures
