EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of purchasing experience in electronics or high-tech manufacturing
  • Experience supervising procurement teams preferred
  • ISM or APICS certification is a plus

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the Purchasing team.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to buyers and clerks.
  • Support contract development including VMI agreements and supplier terms.
  • Set material commit dates in alignment with sales and production schedules.
  • Monitor market trends and recommend sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure procurement of materials at optimal cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Serve as escalation point for supplier disputes and delivery issues.
  • Track and report non-recurring engineering (NRE) costs.
  • Manage and report purchasing KPIs monthly and quarterly.
  • Represent purchasing in cross-functional teams and initiatives.
  • Maintain inventory levels aligned with business objectives.
  • Support supplier compliance and participate in supplier reviews.
  • Lead supplier relationship management efforts.
  • Oversee obsolete stock review and disposition.
  • Act as point of contact for internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, CAPA).
  • Escalate critical supply chain issues and lead resolution efforts.
  • Negotiate cost reduction opportunities with suppliers.
