PURCHASING SUPERVISOR - VR/30912

Status: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join a well-established company based in Kintore. This permanent role offers hybrid working and a 37.5-hour working week. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the cost-effective and timely procurement of direct and indirect parts, as well as repairable components, supporting stock availability, urgent demands, and scheduled maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Coordinating the purchase, provisioning (including rental, leasing, PBH agreements, and direct purchasing), and supply of parts to maintain stock levels and meet operational requirements.
  • Minimising costs while ensuring a safe, efficient supply chain, promoting cost-awareness among staff, and supporting core returns and repairs.
  • Communicating lead time changes and part availability issues to relevant managers, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Providing daily updates to operations on the movement of critical parts and liaising with Maintenance Planning to ensure timely receipt of components.
  • Collaborating with departments to ensure accurate and timely invoice payments.
  • Supervising employees, providing performance feedback, and ensuring training and development needs are met.
  • Developing and maintaining departmental KPIs, ensuring the team is adequately resourced to fulfil operational needs efficiently.
  • Building and managing relationships with suppliers, establishing strategic partnerships to minimise financial risks and improve supply chain stability.
  • Working with Compliance to review NCRs related to part supply and monitoring supplier performance.

APPLICANTS TO THIS ROLE REQUIRE:
