Purchasing & Transport Coordinator | Metroll Pakenham Metroll Pakenham is seeking a highly organised Purchasing & Transport Coordinator to support our fast-paced manufacturing and transport operations. This is a hands-on role combining purchasing, supplier coordination, scheduling, transport administration, and customer communication. You’ll be a key link between suppliers, production, warehouse, drivers, and customers to ensure materials and deliveries move smoothly, safely, and on time. About the Role You will be responsible for coordinating daily purchasing activities and transport operations, ensuring materials are sourced correctly, deliveries are scheduled effectively, and all transport compliance requirements are met. This is a hands-on coordination role where no two days are the same. It suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, keeping operations running smoothly, and being a key communication point between multiple stakeholders. What you’ll be doing Manage purchase orders and coordinate supplier deliveries Track buy-ins, pricing, and delivery timelines Coordinate daily transport schedules and freight movements Work closely with warehouse and production to ensure dispatch readiness Communicate delivery updates and resolve customer enquiries Monitor CoR compliance, fatigue management, and load restraint requirements Maintain accurate transport records, manifests, and documentation Support reporting, incident follow-ups, and operational updates Assist drivers and promote a safe, efficient transport operation What we’re looking for Experience in transport coordination, logistics, dispatch, or supply chain Strong understanding of CoR, HVNL, fatigue management, and load restraint Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Confident using systems and Microsoft Office Manufacturing or FMCG experience highly regarded Why Metroll Pakenham?
