The Opportunity: The Purchasing Warehouse Clerk is responsible for supporting the purchasing manager by managing purchase orders and ensuring timely procurement of goods and services. It also involves monitoring inventory levels and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager. Duties and Functions: Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner Verify purchase requisitions for accuracy and proper approvals Follow up with vendors to confirm order details, pricing and delivery schedules Maintain vendor records and update contact information regularly Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues such as delayed deliveries or discrepancies Assist in sourcing new vendors and obtaining competitive quotes Monitor inventory levels and notify purchasing manager of replenishment needs Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices and payments Prepare regular reports on purchase activities and expenses Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs Qualification Standards: High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience in a purchasing role Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software Strong Organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of procurement principles and practices Familiarity with inventory management practices If you are a detail-oriented, organized individual with a strong sense of responsibility and a passion for providing excellent service, we encourage you to apply for the Purchasing Warehouse Clerk position.
