Shadow-Caster LED, LLC located in Clearwater, Fl manufactures premier LED lighting for the marine industry is looking for an individual to manage the daily purchasing, inventory mangement and supply chain logistics. In addition this person will play a key role in the scheduling and planning of the production schedule. The position will collaborate with key stakeholders including Production, Surface Mount Technology manufacturing, Processing, Quality Assurance and Finance to deliver product supply for Shadow-Caster’s extensive customer base. Success in the role is measured by the ability to ensure component level supply for Shadow-Caster’s products through effective collaboration, attention to quality, on-time delivery and continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

• Proficiency with Materials Resource Planning, MRP, software
• 1-3 years direct experience in supply chain, purchasing, or operations
• Well-organized ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively and simultaneously
• APICS, Six Sigma and/or Project Management certification a plus
• Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Strong ability to work independently and take ownership of the department
• Ability to collaborate and effect change, driving results through team collaboration
• Strong computer literacy and ability to problem solve intermittent technology challenges

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

• Lead Production Planning
• Manage operations planning and production schedules, materials forecasting, and procurement.
• Oversee Materials Management to ensure accuracy in inventory
• Ensures capacity planning in line with changing demand and investigates capacity against mid and long term forecast to identify key constraints and opportunities.
• Oversees and leads supplier governance activities, manages supplier issues that may affect on-time and cost-effective supply of materials and product
• Anticipates and identifies supply chain risks and develops action and resolution plans.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication channels to provide accurate information and communicates critical issues, gaps and constraints to management and production teams.
• Partners with the technical and quality teams to create and manage risk mitigation plans or corrective action plans for supplier performance or quality issues and ensures timely and appropriate escalation of supplier issues
• Recommends plans and strategies for continuous improvement in operations and procedures to meet both short and long-term needs and to resolve problems.
• Develops and implement practices to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of strategic initiatives in production planning and materials management.
