JOB SUMMARY:

The Clinical Student Manager (CSM) will be responsible for being the primary contact
regarding clinical placement for the assigned student population, primarily in the School
of Nursing. The CSM will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager of
Clinical Student Support Services and School of Nursing leadership in order to
communicate expectations related to clinical placement to students and will follow the
progress of the students throughout their clinical placement process. The Clinical
Student Manager will also be a contact point for clinical sites and will assist by
establishing affiliation agreements (with the support of Purdue Global legal) and
coordinating the completion of any other clinical site requirements.

EXPERIENCE/WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Master’s Degree; Healthcare, Higher Education, or similar program and/or comparable experience.
• 2-3 years of experience.
• Related experience working with third party sites, agencies, or businesses.
• Sales/marketing/career services experience preferred, but not required.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
• Must be able to work with Google and MS programs, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Google. Experience with Customer Relationship Management or similar software preferred.
• Must display excellent written and oral communications skills. Must be comfortable spending an extensive amount of time talking on the phone and using various methods of communication to accomplish goals.
• Must be detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines.
• Must be an organized self-starter and able to work with little direct supervision.
• Ability to work effectively with various levels within and external to the university, including but not limited to the Nursing Clinical team, Legal, and clinical site coordinators.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment, across diverse teams, departments, and Schools.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Must be able to travel as required and work a variety of hours/days (early mornings/late evenings/weekends) to support students in various time zones.

• Support students through the clinical placement process.
• Conducts clinical student orientations.
• Provides information and reminders on clinical placement requirements to students on a regular basis.
• Addresses questions from students on requirements and provides encouragement and supportive guidance to help students successfully navigate the placement process.
• Tracks student progress on clinical requirements and confirms all clinical placement requirements have been met before the student’s clinical rotation begins.
• Assists with student/clinical site remediation issues.
• Coordinate with clinical sites and Purdue Global legal support on completion of affiliation agreements, site compliance documents, and Purdue Global required clinical documentation.
• Develops and manages relationships with clinical sites for the Nursing programs within an assigned region.
• Provide input into strategic, operational, and administrative projects.
