PV DESIGNER

We are seeking a PV Designer with 2-3 years of experience to support our Commercial team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and assisting in the execution of solar projects while ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including subcontractors and local distribution companies, to deliver efficient and high-quality solar energy solutions.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, design or similar discipline preferred
  • Hands-on experience in commercial and industrial solar projects
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) for solar layouts
  • Strong attention to details
  • Self-motivation and self-learning
  • Willing and ability to communicate effectively with partners at all levels
  • Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) and grid interconnection is an asset.
  • Knowledge in any Building Code and/or any Electrical Safety Code is an asset
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze technical data
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility in re-prioritizing work due to unplanned events and/or urgent requests for work

    Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
