Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Pay Wage $20.00/hour Do you like to work outside and keep busy? Apply today in order to help public works to promote healthy infrastructure for the Citizens of O'Fallon and build your maintenance career skills. This job may work with the Water, Wastewater & Streets Divisions performing a variety of maintenance duties pertaining to the overall operation of Public Works facilities. This is intended to be a youth job training program, however other applicants will be considered. Essential Duties Duties include (but are not limited to): * mowing, * painting curbs & sign posts, * litter pick up & disposal, * other cleaning, * inventory, * weeding & manual labor including lifting & moving heavy materials occasionally Requires: • High school diploma or equivalent (ability to read and write the English language); • Minimum age to apply is 18 due to insurance requirements; • A valid driver's license & clear driving record; • Ability to use or learn to use a wide variety of tools and equipment; • Strong customer service skills; • Self-motivation and the ability to work with limited supervision; • Regular and predictable attendance. Physical Requirements: • Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and other unpleasant outdoor conditions; • Ability to lift 50 pounds; • Able to have repetitive motion of the hands, wrists, arms; • Ability to twist, squat, kneel, bend, stand for long periods of time, and jog a short distance.

Responsibilities

Perform various maintenance duties for Water, Wastewater, and Streets Divisions to support healthy infrastructure. Tasks include mowing, painting, cleaning, and moving heavy materials.
