Description

SHAPE THE FUTURE OF CLOUD IN A GLOBAL TRADING ENVIRONMENT.

We’re looking for a skilled Python Developer with AWS expertise to join the global Public Cloud Platform team. This is a chance to work in a smaller, international business (around 1,400 employees) that operates worldwide, with offices in Amsterdam, Chicago, Sydney, and Singapore – offering you both global reach and a close-knit environment.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for a developer first, cloud engineer second – someone with strong coding depth in Python, plus AWS knowledge.

You bring:

  • Strong Python development experience (not just scripting).
  • Expertise in AWS (inc. CDK, Lambda, Step Functions, SNS).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Solid IT networking knowledge.
  • Hands-on with Git.
  • Good understanding of observability tooling (e.g., Splunk).
  • Willingness to work 2-3 days per week onsite in Amsterdam.
  • Fluency in English (team is international).
Responsibilities

As a Python Developer in the Cloud Platform team, you’ll work with 6 other AWS Engineers to make the platform safe, compliant, and consumable. You will help shift the organisation from on-premise ways of working to a cloud-native DevOps model, while expanding the AWS platform across regions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building infrastructure as code with AWS CDK.
  • Developing and refactoring existing repositories in Python (development-level, not just scripting).
  • Implementing IT networking following Network Security Perimeter standards.
  • Enhancing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Expanding the AWS platform to new regions based on business needs.
  • Supporting the migration of workloads to AWS according to the cloud roadmap.
