Description

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 3 years Location: Delhi JobType: full-time As a Python Developer, you will play a key role in building and scaling backend systems that power real-time delivery, order management, and logistics operations. Working in a fast-paced, product-led environment, you will collaborate closely with product and operations teams to translate business needs into robust, production-ready solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on greenfield systems, take full ownership of features from design to deployment, and solve real-world supply chain and logistics challenges using modern backend technologies. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django Build, optimize, and maintain RESTful APIs supporting delivery, order processing, and tracking workflows Integrate third-party services such as mapping, payment gateways, and notification systems Collaborate with product and operations teams to convert requirements into scalable technical solutions Ensure backend systems are highly performant, reliable, and responsive under real-time workloads Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes to maintain engineering quality Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend components for performance and scalability Contribute to architectural decisions that support growth and operational efficiency What Makes You a Great Fit 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing backend applications using Python and Django Strong understanding of RESTful API design, ORM concepts, and database design using PostgreSQL or MySQL Experience working in fast-paced startup or product-driven environments Ability to design and implement solutions that scale with growing operations and logistics complexity Solid foundation in data structures, debugging, and performance optimization Exposure to greenfield development or early-stage product builds is a strong advantage Familiarity with microservices architecture, Docker, or cloud deployments is a plus Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or hyperlocal delivery platforms is beneficial Ownership mindset with the ability to take features from concept through production
