Python Engineer (m/w/d)

Your tasks:

Design, development, testing, and deployment of backend services to support system control and experiment orchestration. Creation of APIs and data interfaces for integrating various system components. Ensuring the scalability and maintainability of backend systems while adhering to high software engineering standards. Optimization of data processing pipelines with regard to performance and reliability. Implementation of logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure system stability. Identification and remediation of potential security vulnerabilities in backend systems. Participation in the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align the software architecture with technical requirements. Documentation of software designs and ensuring high code quality through code reviews and best practices.

You bring the following:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; at least 3 years of professional experience in backend development; solid programming skills in Python; experience with frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask is an advantage; solid understanding of the design, implementation, and use of REST APIs; experience working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling; knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes); practical experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins); good understanding of software architecture and design patterns for scalable systems; confident use of version control systems (Git); excellent written and spoken English skills; structured, solution-oriented work style and enjoyment of collaboration in interdisciplinary and international teams
