In this role, you will lead a team of engineers, driving the delivery of high-quality, scalable Python applications while promoting technical excellence across projects. You will influence the architecture and development of backend services and APIs, ensuring alignment with best practices and emerging technologies. Develop and implement the strategic vision of the Python practice, aligning technical goals with business objectives. Oversee project delivery, ensuring high-quality execution, adherence to timelines, and technical excellence. Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and reusable components for Python-based applications. Drive adoption of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, ensuring scalable and maintainable deployments. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimize project staffing and performance. Collaborate across teams to share knowledge, improve processes, and support practice development initiatives. Engage with stakeholders to communicate technical decisions, project status, and roadmap in a clear and effective manner. Requirements Strong expertise in Python, including design patterns, best practices, and building scalable web applications. Hands-on experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI for backend development. Practical knowledge of cloud platforms, primarily AWS, with exposure to GCP or Azure considered a plus. Experience with post-production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation. Familiarity with GenAI applications and AI-driven solutions is highly desirable. Proven leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and managing high-performing engineering teams. Strong communication skills, able to explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
