Reporting to the Manager, Gateway Connectivity Services (GCS) the Python Software Engineer III will work to support several of Availity’s current initiatives. This position will work on an GCS team with a heavy focus on customizations and enhancements to existing products, production support, new implementations, Cloud migration efforts, etc. for batch connectivity with our customers. We anticipate this role to be a mix of back-end python development, custom script maintenance and development, and cloud migration efforts.

  • Participating in 1-hour weekly planning and refinement meetings
  • Solving healthcare problems and improving processes
  • Working on a team rewriting and migrating application to cloud
  • Incorporating development best practices
  • Using such technologies as AWS, gitlab, python, terraform and related technologies
  • Ensuring your code is efficient, optimized, and performant
  • Collaborating on programming or development standards
  • Maintaining technical debt and applying security principles
  • Reviewing the code of others while receiving feedback to ensure code quality
  • Innovating with ideas and products to the organization
  • Performing unit testing and complex debugging to ensure quality
  • Learning new things & sharing your knowledge with other
