REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Object Oriented Python Development experience building real world applications
  • 4+ years experience in Spark/PySpark building ETL Streaming data pipelines.
  • 3+ years experience in Oracle PL/SQL
  • 2+ yeas of Java development experience
  • 3+ years of financial services industry experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with NetApp/S3 Object Storage
  • Experience with Java Spring Boot and Kafka Services
  • Experience working with LLM models and prompt engineering
  • Proficiency with Cloud computing platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS)
  • Experience with caching technologies such as Redis
  • Experience with configuration and monitoring technologies such as Ansible, Grafana, Elastic, Splunk, Prometheus or AppDynamics
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes platforms (preferably RedHat OpenShift)
  • Google / Azure / Amazon Cloud certifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Within Finance Technology we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Finance Technology Intraday Liquidity Technology Team. The ILMS (Intraday Liquidity Management System) is a real time data streaming solution enabling our Corporate Treasury Business to accurately monitor our intraday cash position down to the minute. ILMS processes millions of records each day in a high volume low latency environment. This is accomplished using a combination of Java Services/Kafka and Spark/PySpark Streaming.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Build & enhance high volume/low latency data pipelines via PySpark
  • Build & enhance existing data ingestion Python solution to ensure performance and scalability to meet business expectations
  • Learn intraday business and data elements used to support our business partners
  • Ensure code quality via test driven and behavior driven development
  • Apply treasury business’ requirements for intraday liquidity ensuring application supports our critical regulatory reporting requirements
  • Create & enhance data pipelines in PySpark that is performant and scalable
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
