Search team is seeking QA III position to play a key role in delivering quality software products for Best Buy’s Search Experience team. You will work with Product Managers, Other QA members, User Experience Designers, Architects, and other team members to modernize and build products that align to the product team’s vision and strategy. The engineering of these products will leverage multi-cloud platforms, human centered design, Agile and DevOps principles to deliver industry leading solutions at high velocity with unrivaled quality. You will work on a team of talented software engineering professionals, leading by example, and mentoring others. Position Summary/Job Description:
This job description outlines the responsibilities, qualifications, and skills expected of a Senior QA professional (often designated as QA III) with expertise in both manual and automated testing.
This role requires a balance of strong analytical skills, attention to detail, leadership, and a commitment to quality in the software development lifecycle.
The QA III role encompasses leading QA activities, designing and executing test strategies, and performing both manual and automated testing.
This includes identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps, as well as managing test environments and data.
Collaboration with development and product teams is essential to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Additionally, the role involves improving QA processes, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, mentoring junior staff, and reporting on testing progress and metrics.
Test Planning and Design: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications to cover various functionalities and scenarios.
Test Execution: Conduct manual and automated testing across different web view (Small view, large view) and devices to identify bugs and inconsistencies.
Defect Management: Log and track identified defects using a defect tracking system, providing detailed descriptions and reproducing steps to facilitate issue resolution.
Regression Testing: Verify that bug fixes do not introduce new issues and maintain product stability.
Reporting and Analysis: Summarize test results, analyze trends, and present findings to stakeholders to inform decision-making.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand requirements, identify root causes of issues, and prioritize fixes.
Quality Assurance Standards: Adhere to established quality assurance methodologies and best practices
