We’re looking for talented QA Analyst with accounting expertise to join the Product and Technology team. The QA Analyst is expected to interact effectively with developers, QA, management, support and product management throughout the product definition and development phases to ensure delivery of software that meets requirements with high quality, and in adherence to accepted accounting principles. You may have developed your accounting expertise through formal education, hands-on experience in accounting or finance, or by working closely with ERP or financial applications where you’ve gained a strong understanding of accounting workflows and transaction postings. Your ability to leverage your accounting knowledge with analytical and testing skills will be key to your success in this role. Responsibilities Actively participate in scrum team project planning, design discussions, and agile meetings. Contribute to solution development by understanding given requirements, defining acceptance criteria, and establishing testing strategies. Act as an SME in Accounting within the development team, liaising with Product Management to clarify requirements. Influence solution conception through problem analysis, and active participation in design sessions. Identify business flow variations, capturing these in written test cases as well as automated test scripts. Perform manual and automated functional, integration, and regression tests. Aid with issue investigation by replicating given problems and identifying source conditions. Develop, configure and maintain automated regression tests in a continuous integration setting. Provide feedback to the development team of any changes that would adversely affect deadlines or impact other related products. Provide feedback and recommendations on ways to enhance the coherence, productivity, and efficiency of the team. Qualifications Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, and procedures Expertise in testing financial applications to guarantee their reliability Ability to define required postings for given supply chain transactions Post-secondary education in accounting, or a comparable university level program Strong communication and collaboration skills Solid foundation in software testing fundamentals Highly motivated, creative, self-starter, with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and a "can do" attitude. You thrive in a high-paced, multi-task environment. Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec. Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable university level program Experience writing moderate to complex code/scripts to test systems Experience executing automated tests within pipelines Exposure to RDBMS such as SQL, Oracle or Postgres. Knowledge and experience with SQL queries Experience in developing Integration Tests Experience with using Postman or similar testing tools for REST API testing.
