Job Title: QA Analyst I
Job Description
The QA Analyst will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing food safety and quality assurance systems within the plant. This role involves participation in various systems and controls including SQF, HACCP, FSMA, HARPC, and ensuring Regulatory Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Food Safety Manager to uphold food safety and quality assurance standards.
  • Utilize systems such as TraceGains, SafeFood360, and SnapQC to conduct quality assurance testing.
  • Conduct pH and water testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in the review and verification of food labeling.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and process controls.

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge in Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance.
  • Experience with food safety systems including SQF and FSMA.
  • Proficiency in using TraceGains and other cloud-based food safety/quality management systems.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in baking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, microbiology, biology, or related fields.
  • HACCP certification required.
  • PCQI certification preferred, with an option to become certified while working.
  • Familiarity with Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR Sections).
