Description

Xestro is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for software testers to join our quality assurance team based in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. This is a 100% onsite role.

About Xestro

Xestro is an Australian healthcare software company that helps specialist doctors manage their patients and run their practices. Our cloud-based platform is used daily in hundreds of busy clinics across Australia by thousands of healthcare providers.

The Role

Test new features and improvements against user workflows, expected behaviour, and acceptance criteria. You will help identify issues, inconsistencies, and usability problems, and provide clear feedback so they can be resolved.

This role combines structured testing with hands-on, exploratory testing from a user perspective. You will play an important part in making sure our product works smoothly in real-world use.

To help you get up to speed, you will spend an initial period working closely with our Customer Support team. This will give you practical insight into how clients use the product and the types of issues they experience day-to-day.

Responsibilities

  • Test changes to ensure they meet requirements and don’t break key workflows.
  • Identify and clearly report issues, including steps to reproduce.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA to clarify requirements and outcomes.
  • Learn from real user issues and use that insight to improve testing approaches.

About you

  • Strong attention to detail and curiosity about how things work.
  • Clear communicator who can explain issues in a simple, structured way.
  • An analytical mindset - able to break problems down and investigate causes.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving environment.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience in a software, IT, or technical environment.
  • Exposure to software testing concepts or tools.
  • Experience with debugging (e.g. looking at logs, browser tools, or data).

We are looking for the right person, not just a checklist of experience. If you’re curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, we would be interested to hear from you - whether you’re starting out or bringing prior experience.

Why Join Xestro?

  • Job security in a long-established, growing healthcare SaaS company
  • Meaningful work that directly impacts clinics and patient care
  • Ongoing learning and opportunity for career progression
  • Sunshine Coast lifestyle with a healthy work-life balance

Important Note: To be considered, your application must include both a CV and a cover letter. If you are not currently living on the Sunshine Coast, please clearly outline your relocation plans within your cover letter.

Employer questions

Your application will include the following questions:

  • Do you have or are you willing to undertake a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment?
  • Do you have a legal right to work in Australia?
  • Do you currently live on the Sunshine Coast, QLD?
