OVERVIEW

We are urgently seeking skilled QA Analyst for our client Texas Education Agency on a contract basis.
Duration: 09/15/2025 – 08/31/2026 (with potential for extension)
100% Remote, Work Location With-in the United States.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years experience testing complex web applications.
  • 8+ years experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • 5+ years advanced Database/SQL experience.
  • 3+ years working with APIs, JSON, XML.
  • 2+ years experience with performance testing tools (WAPT Pro, JMeter, or similar).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years experience testing reports.
  • 3+ years API testing (SOAP and REST).
  • 2+ years experience with Zephyr Scale.
  • 2+ years experience with JIRA.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The candidate will join the Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing team within IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System). This role involves advanced systems analysis, team collaboration, and quality assurance testing to support the successful delivery of applications and projects across the Agency.
You will work closely with the Multi-Apps development team, ensuring robust testing coverage, automation, and validation of systems, reports, and data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze user requirements, design specifications, and documentation to develop detailed test cases.
  • Design, execute, and maintain automated functional and regression tests for HTML, PDF, and Excel reports.
  • Document issues, test cases, results, and testing summaries with accuracy and clarity.
  • Execute SQL queries to validate and manipulate data for testing purposes.
  • Collaborate with development teams and customers to understand functionality and define automation strategies.
  • Perform manual testing, data validation, accessibility testing, and performance testing.
  • Support and facilitate the implementation of all applications/projects within TEA.
