Job Description

The Data Tester with SDET experience is responsible for validating backend services, data processing, and calculation logic that power the Nexus application.

Unlike UI-focused testing, this role emphasizes end-to-end data validation across services, APIs, and databases, ensuring that complex algorithms and backend workflows produce accurate and reliable results.

The engineer will work closely with developers, product owners, and data/analysis teams to ensure high-quality delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Test backend services (e.g., Azure Functions)
• Validate data flow, calculations, and algorithm outputs
• Perform API testing (manual + automation)
• Execute SQL-based data validation across systems
• Create and execute test cases, regression, and defect tracking
• Maintain Python-based automation and support CI/CD pipelines

Must Have Skills

• Data Testing (Database and API Testing)
• Azure Data Services(ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration, Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, data engineering, Azure SQL Database.)
• Python Automation Testing(Python, PyTest, Unittest, Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework, Requests, REST API Testing, Postman, BDD, POM, SQL, Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, Docker, JSON/XML, Mocking, Regression & End-to-End Testing.)
