JOB OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking an experienced Automation Tester for a hybrid contract position based in Glen Allen, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts, identifying and documenting defects, creating test plans, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure overall software quality.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, or similar)
• Strong programming/scripting skills in JavaScript and/or Python
• Experience working with CI/CD tools and pipelines
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Exposure to machine learning testing practices
• Experience in automating data pipelines or validating ML model outputs

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests for web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies
• Identify, log, and track software defects through resolution
• Maintain and update automated test scripts as application features evolve
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to overall test automation strategy
• (Preferred) Validate machine learning models and automate data validation in collaboration with data science teams
