Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and documenting all quality and food safety systems documentation on digital platforms.
  • Driving compliance and continuous improvement of quality systems and customer standards SQF/PrimeSafe/DAWE/WW/CFMSR/ALDI/ISO 9001/Animal Welfare/RSPCA/HALAL.
  • Maintaining HACCP documents and complete HACCP reviews.
  • Liaising with all teams within the business to maintain internal auditing programs, coordination and participation in external audits.
  • Managing customer and consumer complaints.
  • Conducting Allergen reviews and validations.
  • Assisting with traceability and recall programs.
  • Supporting the supplier approval and new product development program.
  • Monitor and document performance of all operations from receival of raw material to load out of product, including additional aspects such as area temperatures, preoperational hygiene and sanitation, and customer specifications.
  • Collate and monitor data to indicate trends.
  • Monitor and inspect materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
  • Monitoring of “Good Manufacturing Practices”.
  • Perform frequent random checks on finished products, in process products, time/temperature measures, storage conditions, packaging and ingredients received from approved suppliers to ensure that customer specifications are met.
  • Conduct regular reviews of customer specifications.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for systems/process improvement with a view to continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and training on Quality Assurance policies and systems as required.
  • Participate in new product launches and external assessments as required.
  • Monitor ongoing compliance with retailer and industry regulations and standards.
  • Liaising with all teams within the business to maintain internal auditing program.
  • Advise and implement recommendations and required corrective actions.
  • Complaint investigation and management, including root cause analysis.
  • Internal and external auditing of procedures and processes to maintain compliance.
  • Manage the calibration programme.

OHS Systems

  • Report any incidents/ accidents or near misses &/or hazards in a timely manner.
  • Be diligent in adhering to safe work practices and company policies.
  • Take reasonable care of own and other employees health and safety.

OH&S and Quality Assurance

  • Monitor safe work practices and security standards to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Follow the pre-defined process to report any incidents and hazards that occur.
  • To demonstrate a sound understanding and adherence to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices
  • A commitment to working as an effective member of a team and providing a high level of customer service.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in a professional and safe manner.
  • To organise and oversee the day-to-day activities of subordinate staff within clearly defined standards and time frames.
  • Undertake quality and risk management programs to ensure the achievement of required standards.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager within the incumbent’s skill level.
