Job Title: QA Coordinator
Clear Ocean Seafood is a SQF certified and CFIA registered seafood processor in Richmond BC. Report to: Plant Manager
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for maintaining of the food safety plan. Identify points of continuous improvement and unaddressed hazards. Contribute to building a food safety culture. Amend the procedures as required.
· Coordinate and supervise routine QC inspections to ensure that regulatory and operational standards and SOPs are following throughout the process. Identify the non-conformances and issue the corrective actions, as required.
· Complete the required monitoring records in a timely and accurate manner. Organize and file the records according to company standards.
· Communicate with the CFIA on regular basics for export certification and processing activities.
· Inspect of inbound delivery of product and materials. Perform routine sampling and testing.
· Handle customer health and safety complaints, and quality related inquires.
· Coordinate inventory rotation to ensure FIFO practices. Monitoring the quality of products and shelf life during storage.
· Coordinate annual internal audit, validation and verification activities. Participate in annually regulatory inspections and 3rd party audits.
· Participate in continuous improvement of process and quality, including update written procedures and documents.
· Participate in new product development and recipe design.
· Record keeping for lot traceability. Request lot to lot feedback from customers.
· Act as the trainer to production employees on company policy and procedures.
· Prepare commercial sample, mock up samples and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education in food science or related field.
· More than 1 year of relevant experience in a quality control or quality assurance role in food or related industry.
· Being able to move or lift 30 Lb and occasional working in a cold environment with PPE.
· Mandarin speaking is required as the floor language.
· Strong attentions to detail and accuracy.
Working hours: from Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
Compensation: $60,000 ~70,000 (Salary+Bonus)
