Company Description: SDB Products is an entrepreneurial company that provides contract manufacturing services to the Cosmetics and Personal Care fields, specializing in developing and packaging liquids, creams and hot fill personal care products into bottles, tubes, jars, sachets, packets, and other package formats.
Full Time Position: QA Coordinator
Quality Assurance Coordinator performs various functions in ensuring that set standards are achieved in the product manufacturing process.
Position Purpose/Summary: Quality Assurance Coordinator performs various functions in ensuring that set standards are achieved in the product manufacturing process. Experience operating in a GMP environment is preferable and must be adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Position requires up to 20% travel time (delivery micro samples) and mandatory Saturday work (up to 5H in the morning).

KNOWLEDGE-SKILLS-ABILITIES:

  • Experience operating in a GMP environment is preferable and must be adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a must.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Read and write English. Bilingual a plus.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • Solid understanding of R&D test equipment.
  • Valid USA driver license.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or higher or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum two years of Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft office products and ERP system.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

Ability to lift to 50 pounds of weight.
Ability to walk around the facility and stand for long periods of time during audits or daily during floor walks. Ability to sit for long periods of time during meetings or computer work time. Ability to see and use computer for an extended period. Plant is within OSHA compliance for noise limits; employee must be able to handle the tolerance of up to 85 dB sound.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate preparation and delivery of the Micro samples.
  • Prepare and coordinate shipping of customer retain samples.
  • Daily verification of quality measuring instrumentation.
  • Responsible for Micro Swab testing.
  • Check the running line and make sure all the running finished products, Components, Labels, filled weight, lot# are accurate.
  • Conduct tests and inspect materials and products to ensure quality is maintained. Participate in internal audits and other QA activities.
  • Assist in preparation for customer and/or third-party audits.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues. Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
  • Prepare reports to communicate results of quality inspection activities to management.
  • Document quality assurance activities and creating audit reports.
  • Conduct AQL level sampling inspections on finished goods, documenting the results per customer requirements. Validation (lines, lab reports, water system process).
  • Place, maintain and monitor non-conforming products on hold. Clearly and effectively communicate nonconforming products or materials.
  • Support Quality team members and other duties as required per QA Supervisor/Manager
  • Recognize and maintain the confidentiality of all materials in the work setting.
