Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

EdgeTier is currently looking for a passionate and experienced QA Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This exciting role will see the successful candidate work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to maintain test automation frameworks, perform manual tests when necessary, and implement continuous improvement practices across the team.
This hybrid role will be based out of Dublin office.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

As our new QA Engineer, you’ll use your passion for QA to help build a culture of QA at EdgeTier. While no two days in a start-up like EdgeTier are ever the same, some of your more typical responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing proactive measures to minimise production defects and enhance software reliability.
  • Integrating quality assurance into development workflows to speed up product improvements and increase confidence when delivering changes.
  • Expanding test automation to increase coverage and efficiency, facilitating quicker releases. Using tools like Playwright (TypeScript) and Bruno for API testing.
  • Optimising the CI/CD process to ensure deployments are more frequent and secure.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to design and document test cases for upcoming features.
  • Implementing shift-left practices, minimizing costly late-stage defects.
  • Conducting manual and automated testing across a range of areas including regression, exploratory, and performance testing pre-deployment to ensure release readiness.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE EXCITING?

EdgeTier is a start-up tech company; that means our new QA Engineer will have significant ownership over QA processes and the overall quality culture. If you’re tired of adapting to the QA culture within larger organisations, this role could be your chance to build something new and brilliant.

BE ACCOUNTABLE

Take ownership of your work and do it with integrity and to the best of your ability. Be honest about the challenges faced and tackle them head-on. Whether we win or lose, we learn and grow as a team.
