Job Description: Job Title – QA Engineer This is a challenging opportunity for a tech savvy associate to play a pivotal role in solving complex business challenges using technology in the Financial Services domain. The Purpose of This Role The FFIO (Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations) Technology teams manage applications that provide accounting and investment management support to Fidelity businesses and mutual fund shareholders As a Test Automation team member, you will be involved in the worlds of development and IT-operations. You will play a key role in the development of new automation ideas for products and services and work with the team in turning these ideas into realities. This could include participating in brainstorming meetings and creation of solution mock-ups and identifying possible design flaws until the resulting solution is satisfactory. The role calls for understanding technology well at both the server level and at the development level. The Value You Deliver Delivering quality technology solutions to complex business problems in an agile environment Collaborating with internal and external product teams to deliver a cohesive solution Implementing innovative and industry standard solutions. The Skills that are Key to this role Technical Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing automated test cases Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Fitnesse , Java, Python and Cypress Experience with automated application build, deployment, and support using Maven and Ant Experience with performing version control and continuous integration of build, deploy, and test, using Jenkins, Stash Designing innovative technical solutions using Automation practices. Experience in API development. Experiene in framework development and maintenance. Experience working with AWS is a big plus! Experience as a developer (e.g.- Java, Spring) a plus Communicate effectively within team as well as with partners Behavioral Strong communication – verbal and written Assertive and logical Interacts effectively with peers to resolve issues Proven success in a fast paced environment Ability to diagram and summarize design solutions comfortably to a broad and diverse population Ability to deal with ambiguity Self-motivated with a high degree of intellectual curiosity Is flexible and can make adjustments to changes in operating environment Promotes positive and professional work environment The Skills that are Good to Have for this role Financial Services domain experience with exposure to Mutual Funds Unix/Linux , Shell scripting, Tomcat, Docker , Scheduling Tool like ControlM Experience in agile methodology How Your Work Impacts the Organization Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations [FFIO] provides accounting and investment management support services to Fidelity businesses and mutual fund shareholders. You will be playing a key role in an important initiative for FFIO with the goal to increase production stability, make testing of business flows easier and faster. Your role will be the lead of development and maintenance of Automation solutions. Your role will also actively lead and contribute in the day-to-day planning, setup and execution of end-to-end business flows in a non-production environment The Expertise We’re Looking For Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related subject. 4 -5 + years of experience in information technology. Financial services experience preferred.
