We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QA Engineer II to help launch and shape the way we do QA. This is a unique opportunity to make a big impact by establishing quality assurance practices from the ground up. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and analysts to ensure our applications meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and usability.

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • BS/BA degree preferred.
  • Additional certifications in QA methodologies, automation tools, or Agile practices are a plus.

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in IT QA roles with exposure to both manual and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Tosca, Selenium, or similar).
  • Strong SQL skills for data validation and integrity testing.
  • Experience with web services testing and API validation.
  • Exposure to and understanding of Agile SDLC
  • Experience managing test case coverage
  • Bonus: Experience testing data pipelines and analytics dashboards

Responsibilities
  • Participate in requirements gathering, test strategy, and planning sessions.
  • Understand and interpret user stories and write test scenarios using Gherkin syntax; knowledge of Cucumber is a plus.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Developers to clarify requirements, align on expectations, and ensure quality is built into every stage of development.
  • Develop and execute automated tests; review and analyze automation results.
  • Conduct manual testing based on defined scenarios where automation is unavailable
  • Record, document, and maintain detailed test cases and test results.
  • Ensure that product changes meet specifications and customer expectations.
  • Proactively communicate testing progress, issues, and outcomes to the team, ensuring transparency and shared understanding across all stakeholders.
  • Suggest and implement quality improvements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned products or projects.
  • QA data pipelines and analytics dashboards to ensure accuracy and integrity of visualized metrics.
