Location: India Band: E    Quality Assurance Engineer – C# & JS (Hybrid option)    Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll own the design of test cases for our vulnerability management platform, define our quality assurance standards for our processes and ensure security is tightly integrated into the development process.   What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.    About the team  The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We drive cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy. We own and develop applications and tools for vulnerability management, penetration testing, and red teaming.   We're looking for a highly experienced Quality Assurance Engineer who is passionate to shape with us the future of the security issues management for Swiss Re customers by designing and implementing back-end and front-end elements for our solution. We're looking for a person with a proactive mindset who'll enjoy the opportunity to shape something new.   In your role, you will…    Design and implement test cases and test suites to ensure our main vulnerability management platform meets high expectations for reliability and availability  Define and enforce QA standards together with the other engineers: Ensure that all processes, procedures, and standards are suitable and correctly implemented for the project  Develop and execute test strategies covering functional, performance, security, usability, and exploratory testing. Analyse results to identify issues and recommend improvements  Maintain traceability and test coverage for requirements: Ensure every requirement is linked to corresponding test cases, track test execution and automation coverage, and report metrics that support continuous quality improvement in production releases  Collaborate with developers and DevOps to embed security into the development process from the start, in line with company QA standards, through code reviews, pair testing and continuous feedback  Contribute to user story definition and validation: Help to define the acceptance criteria of user stories and validate them during sprints  Facilitate knowledge sharing: Lead workshops, training sessions and documentation efforts to spread QA best practices  Contribute to technical documentation and CICD processes – specifically, testing and validation processes  Have a chance to learn more about information security, vulnerability management, and Identity & Access Management   Join Swiss Re's healthy and transparent risk culture where everyone engages in continuous risk accountability activities     Your qualifications  Nobody is perfect and meets 100% of our requirements. If you, however, meet some of the criteria below and are curious about the world of vulnerability management inside a well-established cybersecurity infrastructure, we'll be more than happy to meet you!  What we need from you  Passion, drive, and a belief in the value of vulnerability management as an enabler of business performance  5+ years of relevant work experience as a QA Engineer or similar role.  Some experience with testing RESTful based applications, cloud technologies, containers, and databases  Some experience with test management tools such as ADO (Azure DevOps)  Experience in back-end and front-end test automation, with tools like Jest, Mocha, xUnit, NUnit, Postman, RestSharp, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, Specflow, and Allure for automatic reporting  Performance testing experience with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner  Security testing experience with tools like Sonar  Some experience working with the Azure DevOps platform  Experience in meeting non-functional requirements such as reliability, availability, usability and performance  Able to work independently in defining test cases and documenting results, championing the test strategy within the software development team  Experience with agile development and DevOps methodologies  Some experience in business analysis and requirements gathering  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills  Good communication skills in spoken and written English     Nice-to-have  A degree in Computer Science or comparable knowledge.  Some experience in .NET and JavaScript programming languages  Understanding of technologies related to information security and vulnerability management  Familiarity with Entity Framework and database management systems such as MSSQL  Some knowledge about authentication and authorisation mechanisms  Understanding of multi-tier and microservice-based architecture  Knowledge on containerisation, cloud platforms like Azure and associated technologies/capabilities  Experience with Azure-based applications    About Swiss Re   Swiss Re is one of the world’s leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer, working to make the world more resilient.
