Kaleris is seeking a QA Engineer to join our talented QA team. In this position, you will work closely with a distributed, cross-functional product team and actively be involved in the software development lifecycle of the Odyssey product – a multi-tenant SAAS application for international container shipping companies. Together with a team of domain and carrier management system experts you will work on an integrated, end-to-end system that transforms how international container shipping companies operate. As a member of the team, your expertise will contribute to the successful development and deployment of mission-critical functionality for our carrier customers. Primary Responsibilities Work in an agile environment, closely together in a cross-functional team. Understand business requirements to create and execute detailed test cases for our applications. Perform hands-on functional and non-functional testing for our applications. Report test observations and communicate results with the team. Engage in creating test automation for our applications. What do you ideally bring with you? 2-4 years of direct QA experience in testing software applications Understanding of the overall software development process, phases, and deliverables Ability to understand user needs and share a quality-oriented mindset Independent and self-reliant work as well as a pronounced ability to work in a team English language proficiency, both spoken and written, is a must-have in our globally connected teams Comfortable working with global / virtual teams Optional Qualifications: Experience in test automation, e.g. with Selenium Experience in SDLC tools, e.g. with Azure DevOps , Jira Experience in software development and tools like e.g. Git, programming languages Quality assurance / Testing certification (such as ISTQB or CSTE) or professional experience in software testing desirable Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services Kaleris is an equal opportunity employer.
