YOUR PROFILE

  • Strong understanding of modern Software Development lifecycle
  • Experience in exploratory testing within an agile environment
  • Ability to design reusable test cases, covering edge cases and various formats (e.g., step-based, exploratory charters)
  • Proficiency in test automation, including creating, modifying, and debugging automated test cases for frontend or API testing
  • Ability to understand the user and business context behind software changes, such as new features, epics, and bug fixes
  • Holistic approach to software quality, considering both functional and non-functional aspects
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Curiosity for modern cloud-based architectures, software development processes, and the inner workings of software products
    For this role, we are looking for someone based near our offices in Freiburg or Frankfurt.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our Jedox Software products. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating test cases while actively collaborate with agile development teams, providing valuable input on quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle, from planning and refinement through implementation to delivery.

  • Execute tests for changes in the Jedox Software products to ensure they meet defined specification, acceptance criteria, and quality standard
  • Analyze and understand the scope of software functionalities, translating insights into well-structured test cases using our test management tools
  • Idenfity and report quality issues, contributing to continuous improvements in the product
  • Actively collaborate with agile development teams, providing valuable input on quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle, from planning to refinement
  • Cooperate with the QA team on improving testing standards, practices, & tooling
  • Contribute to coverage of test automation where applicable by creating automated testcases
