Your mission Your mission is to safeguard the quality and reliability of our web applications, ensuring that every release delivers a smooth, secure, and trustworthy experience for both patients and healthcare professionals. You will combine hands-on manual testing with pragmatic, lightweight automation support to help our engineering team ship with confidence. This role is primarily focused on hands-on manual testing and practical quality assurance, with lightweight automation work where helpful, not on building large-scale automation frameworks from scratch. Key responsibilities: Plan, design, and execute manual test cases across our mobile applications, with a focus on user-facing flows, edge cases, and healthcare-related user journeys Perform exploratory, regression, smoke, and acceptance testing on new features and bug fixes Contribute to lightweight test automation efforts by maintaining structured test scenarios, CI test definitions, and API testing workflows (e.g. YAML configs, Playwright/Cypress, BDD-style scenarios) Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and catch issues early Write clear, reproducible bug reports and work with the team to track issues through resolution Validate data flows and API behavior against expected results, including checks against REST APIs and databases Comfortable writing simple SQL queries to validate application data Help improve QA processes, test documentation, and overall release confidence over time Your profile Requirements: Full fluency in English (written and spoken) Based in Berlin 3+ years of experience in a QA / software testing role, ideally in web applications Strong manual testing skills: test case design, exploratory testing, regression testing, and structured bug reporting Comfortable working with structured configuration files and test definitions (e.g. YAML) Solid understanding of how modern web applications work end-to-end (frontend, backend, APIs, databases) Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or similar Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira, Linear, TestRail, Xray) Tech-savvy mindset: you don’t need to be a full-time programmer, but you are comfortable in a developer environment (Git, terminal, reading logs/code, debugging) Nice to Have Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium Exposure to BDD tools like Cucumber/Gherkin Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.) Background in healthcare, medtech, or other regulated domains Awareness of security and data privacy considerations (GDPR, HIPAA, or similar) Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerized environments (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) Why us?
