Description We are looking for a passionate and meticulous QA Engineer to help drive a quality-centric approach to application development. This key role is responsible for creating and executing automated tests to ensure product quality for our payment processing platform, microservices/APIs, and integrations to other Stax products. They will enhance our team’s ability to implement and drive proper QA tooling, process, automation, and methodology while working directly with the product stakeholders and engineering teams. A successful QA Engineer thrives in an environment where quality is a team responsibility. They seek to understand the “why” to better inform what, and how something is built. Key Responsibilities & Objectives Create automation scripts during the sprint Integrate with development teams to ensure testability, scalability, and performance are at the forefront of how we build our applications. Research testing tools, methodologies, and trends to ensure our quality practices are continuously evolving to better meet the needs of our customers. Able to effectively balance between test quantity, test value, and development cycle times Work as part of an Scrum team to automate and validate all stories prior to deployment Create and report on a variety of quality metrics Troubleshoot escalated support items Report and guard against all product defects Engage with all product stakeholders to ensure quality Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field 1 to 3 years of overall experience in QA and test automation 1 to 3 years of experience with SQL and writing complex queries 1 to 3 years experience with test automation tools such as Cypress and Selenium 1 to 3 years experience in scripting skills using C#, Typescript, Node.js, and React is a plus 1 to 3 years experience with REST API test automation in SaaS environments Experience with AWS or any Cloud Service provider is a plus Experience with BI tools is a plus Experience with BDD Experience in security testing and understanding of OWASP Experience developing and integration testing assets with CI/CD pipelines Ability to work in an agile environment and deep understanding of Scrum and Kanban Strong work ethic to exceed expectations and goals Excellent communication skills Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude Background in development, software engineering or QA Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Solution ­oriented/strategic thinking skills Coachable and able to take direction and feedback well Experience with JIRA preferred Experience with mySQL and Oracle preferred Payments Industry experience a plus PCI Compliance experience preferred
