REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software QA, with demonstrated success in Dynamics 365 or ERP/CRM systems.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with QA and test automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, boards, and test case repositories.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Direct experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Apps, or Power Automate workflows.
  • Exposure to Power BI and data validation strategies.
  • Experience testing REST APIs and back-end integrations.
  • Familiarity with federal IT compliance standards.
  • ISTQB or comparable QA certification.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with hands-on experience testing solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). This position supports the INL program at the Department of State, ensuring that mission-critical systems meet rigorous functional, performance, and security standards.
This role involves manual and automated testing, validation of system integrations, and collaboration with developers, functional analysts, and end users across the SDLC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing of web-based applications, focusing on functionality, integration, regression, and performance.
  • Validate integrations between Dynamics 365 and external systems through API and data interface testing.
  • Track and manage defects using Azure DevOps or JIRA, ensuring clear documentation and resolution workflows.
  • Collaborate with developers and analysts to troubleshoot issues, verify fixes, and ensure readiness for deployment.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning sessions to ensure test coverage and traceability.
  • Maintain QA artifacts including test documentation, defect logs, and test data repositories.
  • Ensure compliance with federal security standards, data governance, and change control protocols.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement by adopting modern QA methodologies and tools.
