JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Prefer 2 to 3 years of QA experience in marine or industrial field.
  • Experience in testing of switchboards/panels will be an advantage.
  • Willing to work onboard the vessel and travel occasionally.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect outgoing and incoming parts according to established procedures and specifications, including incoming process inspections.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and manage quality-related data.
  • Identify and escalate quality issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Ensure segregation of non-conforming products to prevent mixing with conforming products.
  • Authorize rejection of parts that do not meet quality standards.
  • Approve the release of conforming parts for storage and subsequent delivery.
  • Conduct routine factory tests and inspections on completed switchboards.
  • Perform testing and commissioning of switchboards on-site or on vessels, ensuring customer satisfaction, and address warranty claims or quality concerns.
  • Conduct official tests on switchboards with surveyors, consultants, or customers as required.
  • Support the manager in fulfilling quality responsibilities and achieving objectives.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the QA Department.
  • Adhere to safety protocols during all tasks.
  • Use calibrated instruments for inspections to ensure accuracy.
  • Initiate actions to prevent product non-conformities.
  • Propose and implement solutions for identified issues.
  • Verify the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Control further processing or delivery of non-conforming products until issues are resolved.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
  • Comply with the Quality Management System procedures for effective implementation and control.
