EV Connect is seeking a QA Engineer near the Raleigh, NC area who shares our passion for electric vehicles and their ability to positively impact transportation, air quality and energy independence for generations to come. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience in testing methods and best practices in an agile SDLC, including functional, smoke, regression, end-to-end, and hardware integration. The candidate should have experience interfacing with customers regarding bug reporting, test execution, deployments, and release status.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years’ experience with QA Hardware/Software integration testing in the EVSE space.
  • 3+ years’ hand-on experience with EV Charging Equipment and OCPP tools.
  • 2+ years’ experience in communicating with customers using frequent feedback loops.
  • Comfortable in a hardware lab setting and frequent travel for customer/vendor onsite visits.
  • Quick learning self-starter who can claim ownership of hardware/software testing domain.
  • Must be very hands-on and willing to collaborate with multiple teams for system testing.
Responsibilities
  • Perform integration testing between EVSE’s and EV Connect’s proprietary SaaS.
  • Configure/Supervise EV Connect’s testing hardware located in Raleigh, NC.
  • Execute regression testing on various hardware/software/firmware versions.
  • Test credit card hardware integration with EVC’s CMS platform.
  • Generate and maintain documentation outlining test procedures and results.
  • Triage, reproduce, and analyze customer reported production incidents and defects.
  • Interface with customers regarding defect and release status/timelines.
