Description
Strategic Participate in HSE risk assessments. Operational Understands the contract documents related to the project safety requirements, HSE plan, policies, procedures, risk assessments, etc. Implements project HSE plan on site and effectively communicates the same to the workforce and project team. Develops corrective recommendations arising from observations/ investigations to eliminate or reduce future occurrences of safety hazards. Provides safe work guidelines to the workforce, follows-up their implementation and monitors the effectiveness of the same. Maintains and documents internal and external safety inspection logs and other safety related records in a traceable manner. Provides safety induction to all newly joining employees on site and assists in safety trainings and orientations programs. Coordinates with the Construction team and subcontractors for all safety related issues. Conducts continuous site rounds, follows-up safety marshals� performance and provides guidance and instructions. Ensures that all personnel, workforce and safety marshals are equipped properly to perform the work safely. Understands, implements and monitors the contract/project related safety requirements and procedures and prepares risk assessments on that. Ensures project HSE plan implementation by all personnel including subcontractors and any other third party. "Develops , implements and updates the project specific safety requirements/programs such as: emergency and fire drill Programs, safety inductions, safety training programs, inspection programs, tool box talks, etc. " Coordinates and conducts periodical safety meetings and HSE audits on site (including subcontractors) to discuss HSE issues and corrective actions to be taken. Approves the selection and inspection of personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protective equipment (RPE) and other projects specific safety equipment/devices and monitors their usage, maintenance and storage on site. "Attends project progress meeting and contributes to the safety sections, highlights safety issues, equipment/resource requirement and promotes HSE awareness on site. "
