What you’ll build and ownBuild and ship production features end-to-end across Node.js backends and React frontends, owning your work from implementation through deployment.
Design, build, and version REST or GraphQL APIs that serve as the contract between frontend and backend systems.
Make architecture decisions around data modelling, service boundaries, and component design, applying event-driven thinking where it fits.
Model and query data across relational and NoSQL stores, choosing the right database and structure for each use case.
Write clean, well-tested code and set up the observability needed to catch and debug issues in live systems.
Core Requirements 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with hands-on work in Node.js and React.
Hands-on experience designing and versioning REST or GraphQL APIs.
Experience with modern git workflows, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Strong system-design instincts: data modelling, component architecture, and event-driven thinking.
Comfortable with relational databases and SQL, plus familiarity with NoSQL such as MongoDB or similar.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across distributed systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
