The Jonsson Manufacturing team is responsible for bringing our garments to life by consistently producing high-quality products in order to serve our customers brilliantly. Jonsson Manufacturing is based in Lesotho and manufactures most of the Jonsson Workwear apparel products across 7 factories, a centralised Cutting Room, Customisation Facilities, and an Industrial Laundry.
The Garment Technologist will be based at our world-class manufacturing facilities in Lesotho and will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our garments. They will use their knowledge in pattern reading, fabric, and garment construction to ensure our customers receive high-quality products.

THE EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Garment Technology qualification or 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven work experience in garment sampling.
• Experience in sampling and testing.
• Proficient in sewing, with a thorough understanding of various types of sewing machines.
• Ability to train and develop staff.
• Highly computer literate in MS Office.
• Experience in working on product lifecycle management systems will be advantageous.
• Being closely attuned to the functional aspects of a garment.

• Constructing and sizing pre-production garments in close collaboration with our Garment Technology team.
• Apply your understanding of diverse fabrics to adapt designs to suit large-scale production methods.
• Create impeccably sewn garments whilst adhering to exact specifications and the highest quality standards.
• Conducting rigorous quality evaluations of materials and checking the quality of the final product.
• Perform machine set-ups and swiftly diagnose and troubleshoot any technical issues.
• Provide training to sewing machine operators on machine setup and operation as needed.
