Our Stanley Villa Farm site is a key hub for our operations, combining agricultural excellence with efficient processing. The Role: As QA Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and food safety at our Stanley Villa Farm site. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications. This hands-on role requires a strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, keen attention to detail, and excellent leadership skills.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in a similar Quality Assurance leadership role within the food manufacturing or fresh produce industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., BRCGS, HACCP, SALSA).
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing and managing a robust QMS.
  • HACCP Level 3/4 qualification.
  • Strong understanding of auditing principles and experience in conducting internal and external audits.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and IT systems.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with industry best practices (e.g., BRCGS, HACCP, ISO).
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the site’s QA team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and conduct internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and addressing any non-conformances promptly and effectively.
  • Oversee all quality control procedures, including raw material inspection, in-process checks, and final product release.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and other departments to embed quality throughout the entire supply chain.
  • Monitor and analyse quality data, identifying trends and recommending improvements to processes and products.
  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained on food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, legislative changes, and new technologies in food safety and quality.
  • Manage pest control, hygiene, and environmental monitoring programmes.
